外籍教师

Kasey Stigen has been a teacher at Northeast Forestry University since 2014. She  graduated in 2013 with a degree in English Education. A few short months after her graduation, she moved to Harbin where she taught English writing at East University of Heilongjiang. Kasey then moved across the city to Northeast Forestry University where she loves teaching her students about American culture and the English language. Her favorite part of living in China is getting to explore the rich Chinese culture with her students. Kasey has office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:00.

 

 

Lydia Guill has been a teacher at Northeast Forestry University since 2014. After completing her B.A. in elementary education, Lydia Guill received an M.A. in TESOL/Intercultural Studies from Wheaton Graduate School.  After teaching for a semester in the Chicago area, Lydia came to China in the fall of 2011. Since then, she has lived in 3 major Chinese cities: Beijing, Changchun, and now Harbin, where she is currently teaching English to both English and second English major students here at NEFU. She loves her job and life in China! Lydia has office hours on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30.

 

 

 

Heather Beaman has been a teacher at Northeast Forestry University since 2015. She graduated with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences in 2014. Shortly afterwards, she began teaching Workplace Writing and Oral English at East University of Heilongjiang in Harbin. At NEFU she teaches newspaper reading and public speaking. Heather is excited to get to know students at Northeast Forestry University and share her knowledge of Western culture.  Heather has office hours on Mondays and Fridays from 1:30 to 3:00.

 

Thomas Garrett is from   Brighton , England , though he also lived in Dongying , Shandong , as a child. He received his Undergraduate Degree in Politics and History, and also an MA in Modern History, from Swansea University , Wales . He currently teaches English Oral Practice at NEFU to English Majors, and has previously taught British Culture. He loves learning about and discussing history and culture, whether Chinese or British. His office hours are every weekday from 12:45-1:30, in room 1202, in the Foreign Languages building.  

 

Ben Watson has been a teacher at Northeast Forestry University since 2002.  He graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 from Cedarville University, and then with his Master’s of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College in 2009.  He currently teaches Ph.D. Oral English classes, Intercultural Communication to MTI students, a TOEFL/IELTS prep class for the post-graduate department and various other classes.  He often trains new foreign teachers coming to China in areas where cultural understanding and teaching intersect.  He has helped as an adviser on several books and editor on numerous publications.
